I teach courses in Network Administration(Novell and NT)and here are the areas that I focus on.<br>

Course Objectives<br>
To provide the skills needed to run NetWare 4.1 on a day-to-day basis. Important topics such as security, hard disk setup, drive mappings, managing users and groups and login scripts are all covered with the practical needs of the administrator in mind. Students will experience using the NetWare program in Windows for all management tasks. They will examine the set of tools that Novell provides, including command line utilities, DOS menu utilities and console utilities.<br>

Prerequisite:<br>
A good knowledge of DOS and microcomputer hardware plus networking concepts. The networking concepts required are found in the Introduction to Networks course. <br>

As for the actual tests that you would need to take. I strongly recommend that you learn the books inside and out. Both OS's can ask you any number of questions on any of the topics covered, and for Novell, if you think that there's a chance that a question won't come from a particular paragraph, guess again. Novell is pretty good about picking questions in the least obvious. This is a good thing, it means you really studied the material and you prove your selfworth not only to yourself, but to your employer as well.

Novell exams are not difficult especially if it is adaptive (15+ questions) but it will be challenging. Microsft Exams are equally as challenging and will be most difficult as they ask in the ball park of 100 questions.
