I was attempting to connect everyone in the building to a DSL modem.
When I contacted our ISP they had a line which was cheap but required them to give the DSL modem a dynamic IP address.
In other words their Server was the DHCP server.
So when I tried to connect our Proxy server which is also a DHCP server it would not work.
the fix was.
I built an "NT member Server" out of and older computer and installed Proxy Server 2.0 on it. And added a second NIC card to it.

One NIC is connected to our HUBS and to our Network and has a Static IP address 10.0.0.70
Second NIC is connected to DSL modem and gets it's IP from ISP's DHCP server.
Now our clients connect to the Internt using Internet Explorer and use a LAN connection with the Proxy server settings of the new NT server I built which is 10.0.0.70.

Now you might say well if your ISP just gave you a static IP then you would'nt need yet another server. But they were going to charge us and extra $50.00 a month for in addition to our normal charge.
