the "bandwidth profiler" will imitate various internet connection speeds allowing you to test/debug your movie without all the hassle...
while testing your movie (Control>Test Movie),
select View>Bandwidth Profiler.
A graph will display various statistics about your SWF, letting you know what frames could cause your movie to freeze when loading over the net. (If the graph bar goes over the red line, that is an indication that you may need to lighten the load on that frame).
Select Debug>56K to test on dialup speed.
You can also create your own connection speeds. (Note: the average DSL connection is 467k and the average Cable modem speed is 708k). So try using those settings to get the most from it.
I know most of you flash guru's probably already use this, but i hope the lesser of us mortals find this useful...
