A stupid old autodialer on win95 was to be ported on an ONS port on a 3300 MCD 5.0, and it needed to connect to a centrex line but could not dial 9 by itself on it, so a line sharing device like a fax switch could not be used.

1)x225 (dialer) associated hotline to SC300
2)SC300 dials 400
3)ARS digits dialed 400, 0 to follow, uses route 50
4)Route 50 uses a Trunk Group containing the centrex line, digit mod 5
5)Digit Mod 5 absorbs 3, inserts <T01>9 (T01 waits for initial dial tone outpulse default, then 9 connects to the centrex 2nd dial tone)

6)Dial tone gets returned to the autodialer which never sees the difference!!

Too bad they have never been able to figure out how to add the SX200 Direct to ARS COS feature to the 3300.

Adding the 9 has not been a problem when dealing with analog trunks. There are several methods.

Adding the 9 with digital trunks is quite another matter altogether.
