Hi All,
I have never had to use tip on Solaris before.
A little research points me to the /etc/remote file where I can specify buad rate and all other settings. I have added an entry for my server new::dv=/dev/ttya:br#9600:el=^C^S^Q^U^D:ie=%$e=^D:
Have a x-over cable between an E450 and a V240
When I run "tip new" it says connected but thats it. No menu's no nothing. Doesn't respond to keystrokes at all, it just sits there saying connected. I take this to mean it's not really connected, at least not correctly. Is my baud rate setup correctly at 9600? I think so as that's the rate I use to connect in from tera term running on a PC I use for initial setups.
Any advice?
