In certain situation, you may want to have a notification on your phone that there is a message waiting in another mailbox. For example, the receptionist has her own mailbox, but also wants to see notifications for the general delivery mailbox - or a secretary wants to see notifications for the mailbox of her boss.
UCx provides this feature and it's very easy to set up. As far as I know, it's not described in the documentation. All you have to do is to configure a speed dial on your phone to the desired mailbox. For example, if the extension with the general delivery mailbox is 200, just create a speed dial button on your phone to *98200 (Dial Voicemail - 200). The indicator beside this button will flash when there are messages in the mailbox. On IP phones, the indicator will also change into an envelope. Even better - on 1100 series IP phones, the blue light on the phone will be on when there are messages in the other mailbox - red light for your mailbox, blue light for other mailbox(es).
