I'm trying to install tinycore on an old laptop with a 3Gb disk. Everything has gone swimmingly well until I tried installing Firefox. It ran out of space. When I checked with df -k, /dev/hda1 was only 100Mb: not 3Gb.

So I started all over again.

fdisk -l says it is 3Gb

I've redone the disk with

cfdisk /dev/hda1

but when I try to make a filing system, it says the disk is already mounted.

Any idea how I can wipe the entire system and start all over again.

I just reformatted the disk using an old NT disk I had lying around. Anyway, I've now got my 3Gb instead of 100Mb.
