Hi there, I would like to configure the daylight summer time on our PP8600. Here is my configuration:

pp8600:5/config/bootconfig/tz# info
tz dst-end M10.5.0/0200
tz dst-name "DST"
tz dst-offset 60
tz dst-start M4.1.0/0200
tz offset-from-utc -60
tz name "UTC"
TIMEZONE=UTC:DST:-60:::0

Somehow it seems not to be working as the date has not been changed according the configuration above:

sw-edvan01:5/config/bootconfig/tz# date
local time: MON APR 26 08:44:18 2004 UTC
hardware time: MON APR 26 07:44:18 2004 UTC

What's wrong?

Thanks for any help, Stifi

I'm in the US central time zone (-6 hours from GMT) and here's what I've got for a config:

flags daylight-saving-time true
tz dst-name "CDT"
tz offset-from-utc 360
tz name "CST"

Then I set the hardware time to UTC. Now that its daylight savings time I'm only -5 hours from GMT and it currently says:

local time: WED MAY 19 18:50:33 2004 CDT
hardware time: WED MAY 19 23:50:33 2004 UTC
