Seeing as we have our clocks going back on Sunday morning, thought I'd ask a question on the matter..

I have a new system which has been implemented since the last time change (March).

I have looked at /etc/environment and noticed that the TZ parameter is : GMT0BST

Will this alter the system time on Sunday.

Also, as I have certain 'cron' jobs running through the night, I'd like to delay the time change until say 0900hrs.
Can this be done ?

The $TZ setting looks fine (assuming you're in Britain, of course!). I'm not sure whether the time the change takes place is configurable, but someone else might...

The winter starts here! Cheers.

Ken,
I have done some more digging, and from the SMIT screens, you can enter the start and stop times for the time alteration.....
