Hello,

How could a directory's timestamp change while the files inside it not being touched (not being modified0? How could it happen? Thanks in advance.

If you delete a file from the directory. But then the number of files will be decreased.
Or create a new file and then delete this file, and the number will be the same as before.
regards

Which timestamp (access, modification or status change) ?
No temporary file created and deleted in this directory ?

Hope This Helps, PH.
