Hi,
Basic Info:
CE10
Win2K
Oracle 9.2 as CMS and as Audit Database ( separate instances)
( all patched to date)..

When I look at the Timestamp in the cms_audittable ( which I am surprised to find is a Varchar2(64) not a Timestamp)
the time portion is 12 hours off..( that is, it shows 22:30:xx:xx instead of 10:30:xx:xx) yet the sysdate and Time are correct on the servers ( both the CE and the Database ones)..

Any thoughts on why?

Thanks...

Grrrr..I've seen this before but my brain has stalled...what time zone are you in?

I will get back to you if nobody knows before...

Hi,
Thanks for the very quick response ( maybe we both need to get a life [smile])

I am in the US Central Time Zone...
Code:
SQL> select to_char(sysdate,'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:Mi') from dual;

TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,
----------------
02/17/2005 14:09

It's stored in Universal Time so that if you have components in different timezones you can compare them correctly - but Central should be -6?

Mine is -5 (EST) and is logged accordingly: 16:00 EST = 21:00 UTC

HI again,
Thought I had better explain my thought that that the timestamp was 12 hours off:
The times shown ( on the ones I looked at) would have been unremarkable if they had been AM and not PM - It turns out that my assumption ( like most assumptions) was incorrect.

Thanks again...
