I have a curious problem on my AS400.

The timeslice for batch jobs is set to a value much higher than interactive jobs. Everytime a batch job is run, interactive users cpmplain about the response times.

I can manually change the timeslice value on a job and specify a timeslice value when I submit a job but I have not been able to fin the setting to set a timeslice as a default value for all batch jobs. Does anybody know how to do this?

Timeslice is controlled by *CLASS objects. See How work gets processed.

If you do a WRKCLS CLS(*ALL/*ALL), you will see all the classes on the system.

Me transmitte sursum, Caledoni!

Thanks dude.
