I'm new to Project and was wondering how I develop a project for 1 day. I would like to create tasks based on a particular hour of that day. I can't figure out how to:

1. Set up a 1 day project (start and end times rather than start and end days)

2. How to get the Gannt chart view to have the start date of the project be visible without scrolling (I'm working on a project for Sept 19 but today's date is the most visible.

Does this make sense?

Right click on the GANTT chart time line and pick the Timescale option.

Tools > Options > View-tab and select a date format that includes the time.

Project > Project Information and set the start date and time that you want.

To adjust the Gantt chart ... there may be a way to force it to open at a particular date (and time). I don't know. Me? I click on a task I want to see and then click on the "go to selected task" button on the Standard Toolbar (it's towards the right). In other words, it takes just two clicks to get the display I want.
