Timer () update a Webform 1

Hi all,

Thanks for reading this.

Quite simply i can't seem to be able to get any Timers working in ASP.Net.
I have added imports.timer to the AssInfo.vb

What i want to do is have a Button change color every Timer() event. Sounds easy doesn't it, but it is part of a larger system that will link to a database. Just can't seem to get the event to work.

Note the Web form is local to my PC and i have IIS running on it.

I have also disbleed the cache in IE.

Any help would be appreciated.

You'll probably have to do that in client side code as won't the timer be on the server side?

OK, I've had a scan and a play and I would ascertain that the timer is running on the server in a stateless application and simply cannot interact directly with the client to do things such as change the UI appearance, (I.E., displayed text, colour of controls etc.) so to acheive what you want Javascript is probably your only bet without using meta tags to cause the page to refresh periodically which would mean basically a flickering application to your users.
