Is there any way to make an ASP execute at a specific time EVERY day rather than relying on someone to actuall visit the page?
I have created a bill reminder system that emails me on a given day, but the ASP page must run in order for me to receive the email...

Setup autoscheduler on any Win2K or Win98 computer that has access to that website. Schedule it to run the asp page at a given time every day. Some people think that the Windows Auto Scheduler will only execute programs. Not the case. You can have it load a web page as well.

Are there any other possible options. I am unfortunately using a dial-up connection on my home computer, so I can't configure it to dial-up every day before Internet Explorer attempts to connect to the page...or can I???

Sure, just set your Internet Explorer to Dial Up as needed and you'll need to save your username and password and all that great stuff.

Basically, before you can get the autoscheduler to work properly, you first have to set your Internet Explorer to automatically dialup when you launch your browser. You can do that from the Tools / Options menu.

Now, the next question that I'm unsure of is how to get the phone to hang up when it's done. I know you can set the dialup account to hang up after x minutes of inactivity. That's done in the Dialup Network settings located in My Computer.

If it's a public site, you can send me the address and I'll set my autoscheduler here to hit the page once a day until you get it worked out. I've already got autoscheduler on our server hitting our ASP pages every 5 minutes for an automail function.

I'd be happy to do that if you want. Send the address to sendpage@fuelaccess.com

Thanks for the advice. I will set up my dial-up connection to hang up after "x" minutes and see how that works. I appreciate your offer to hit the page for me. The page is still under development, so there is no rush for me to get it up and running.
Thanks again
