Time to update to Ad-Aware

As a matter of interest Ad-Aware 2007 got a roasting in the review pages of the magazine I subscribe to.

Their main grip was its lack of detection of KeyLoggers.

I quit using adaware thanks to adaware 2007. I hate how it works so I no longer use it. Nothing personal towards you though 2ffat lol. Just that program itself I used to love but hate it now.

I must admit, I've not yet used it. I, too, have heard a lot of complaints about it. I'll give it a shot after things settle down here (I'm trying to get a new NAS up and running).

As a matter of principle, I never rely on one anti-spy program but rather run different ones different days of the week.

I had noticed that I hadn't gotten updates for it this year so I decided to post this once I found out about it. :)

Yeah I use several myself. Hijackthis, spybot, avg anti spyware, housecall and others lol. Use several antiviruses as well.

adaware 2007 is bloated, slow and seems to now only pick on cookies.

i am looking for a replacement.

Not to mention a lot of the configuration of adaware is gone in 2007 version.

Since opinion seems to be to drop Adaware 2007, and I'm in agreement here, anyone care to suggest a suitable free tried and tested replacement that does the business?

Spybot S&D has always been my favorite. Been working on my wifes machine since she got trojan.qoologic, almost done, got Norton loaded and running now, found it she has Adware.Qoologic on it now, so that's my next project. Check this out.
DO NOT BUY THIS, as I don't know anything about the product. Just stumbled accross it in a google search.
