I've been having a variety of weirdness with my G4 OS 9.2.2 Everything from unstoppable cursor movement leading to crashing to the ol' chestnut blinking ? on start up. Shut the computer down for a couple hours and managed to get on line just now, but I fear my time is limited.

I'm leery of clean install but guess I have to go for it.

Question: I only have the 9.04 OS on CD rom, but have the following updaters on CD ROM so, do I run the 9.1- 9.2.2 updaters after inital installation before I start turning extensions back on? Or do I install 9.04 and start trying to figure out what I need to drag from my previous system folder.

It's daunting either way. I have Conflict Catcher but had nothing but wasted time to show for it.

Thanks for any input.

I would recommend Alsofts disk warrior ( ) as a stable and strong repair utility. In OS ( it also has an extension that when loaded in the system folder>extensions helps stop bad code being written to disk. TRy it you won't regret it.

For free you could run disk first aid to see if you have probs. macmend can be found at
