I don't know the NT side of it, but Unix systems provide the "daytime" service on port 13. For example, you can retrieve the time from a Unix box by doing:
telnet sunbox 13
I would imagine there is time sync software on NT that queries this port - you would just give it the machine name.
windows time clock in the icontray has a
"internet time zone" sync tab.
Safe to suppose that if I enter the IP of the server there it will sync itself to the ntp deamon running on the solaris box ?
