Hi all,

How would I go about when I needed to time- syncronize a bunch of NT desktops ?

I can install something on our Solaris servers , but got no clue *what*...

Thanks,

Iga

I don't know the NT side of it, but Unix systems provide the "daytime" service on port 13. For example, you can retrieve the time from a Unix box by doing:

telnet sunbox 13

I would imagine there is time sync software on NT that queries this port - you would just give it the machine name.

Hi all,

windows time clock in the icontray has a
"internet time zone" sync tab.
Safe to suppose that if I enter the IP of the server there it will sync itself to the ntp deamon running on the solaris box ?

Thanks for the help,
Iga
