Hello I was wondering how my windows xp clients sync their clocks? I notice at home I have an option to sync with internet time (time.windows.com) or something of that nature.

Users here at the office do not have the option.

I have one user in particular whose clock is back anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. I have checked his BIOS time and that is correct. I checked to see the DC he is authenticating to has the correct time as well.

Where is this time coming from? Should I change something in my environment?

Thank you for any insight.

If your 2k and above clients aren't keeping time you should check that the affected ones have the correct DNS settings.

If I remeber correctly XP by defualt will synch with the DC.
that said i came accross this once before.......

Turned out that the time zone was incorrect, though it synched in GMT the zone was set to some far off distant paradise and adjusted the clock accordingly.......worth checking.
