We have 1 ME workstation on our NW5 network, using client 3.31 for 95/98 - Novell appear to deny the existence of ME!

As we have an atomic clock on the server it seems sensible to synchronise the workstation clock to the server clock at login. This ensures that files and e-mails are correctly time stamped and that staff can know the correct time of day by looking at SysTray. However, the time is always set back an hour at login, whether I have 'Adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time' set on the workstation or not.

The 100+ W98 and W2k workstations all synchronise correctly, whichever client they use.

HI!

What is the time zone on the server?
(paste here the "time" command output, or the AUTOEXEC.NCF part).

What is the time zone on the ME workstation?
Is it set to Daylight or Standard time?

Anyway, this utility might help you on the ME workstation.
It is for Win98 but I guess that in ME it's the same:

In the advanced properties of the Novell Client, there should be a parameter called 'Set Station Time'. If this is set to 'On', this should synchronise the workstation with the server time regardless of the daylight savings config on the workstation.

Thanks for both suggestions.

The Novelll client 'Set Server Time' parameter does not do the correct thing in ME.

However, Vizhar's questions prompted me to try setting the time zone to Paris instead of London - one hour ahead of our true time. This has worked.
