1) a timeslot is nothing more than one channel (64kb) on a PCM bus (compare it with a E1/T1)
the DSU board can provide 256 timeslots, the DSU is Linked to the LSU board which provides 1024 timeslots (so max 4 DSU's on LSU = max 4 magazines)
2) NIU2 =16
LPU5 = 4 - 32, depends on board position
ELU32 = 16
IPLU = 32
3) each board position has its own dedicated timeslots

Never underestimate tha powah of tha google!
