I have a HP ML310 running server 2003. Nothing crazy on it just vm. 3 different sites and the time keeps falling behind or just stopping all together. The IT guys installed a Time Synchronizer by Softnik technologies and you can watch the time fall behind 1 second every 2 min. any ideas?

Hi all

I have a vmpro on 2003 server (dc5100 from HP)
we lose 5 min a day on the server.

The only way i found to solve/patch the problem is to modify the registry to update his time every hour.

Stop the VM Pro service, start the Avaya Manager and when Manager is running then start the VM Pro service.
This way VM Pro service will disable the build-in time server and the manager will act as a time server as long as it is running.

Now you can check if the problem is related with the VM Pro software.

If you check the time in the system tray on the VMPRO server, and it is not keeping accurate time, then it is the server that can not keep time.

If the system tray clock keeps good time, then consider looking for another issue which may, or may not be associated with the VMPRO services, Avaya software etc.
