We keep receiving this error message from our PDC even though the time is set to sync to the VMware Servers. We run through the process of resetting it all but it doesn't fix it.

Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from manually configured peer pool.ntp.org,0x8, after 8 attempts to contact it. This peer will be discarded as a time source and NtpClient will attempt to discover a new peer with this DNS name. The error was: The peer is unreachable.

From what I understand, you should never point a virtualized DC running the PDC emulator to synch time with the VMware server itself. It should be synching with an external time source.

Well it depends who you look at but according to VMware ther Vsphere gets it's time externally and then the DC's get it from there. I have tried disabling that and getting the address from an external source to no avail either.

Followed the article disabled, the vmware tools time and get the following still when try to resync the time

C:\Users\Administrator>w32tm /resync
Sending resync command to local computer
The computer did not resync because no time data was available.
