I'm trying to get a time range between 9am and 7pm on a day. The problem with this is that the normal workday can start at 7:30am and end at 10pm, BUT I only require the time between 9am and 7pm. I cannot use a between or =< or >= because that will exclude the whole 'transaction'. Gerhard Scheepers

maximum(9am, starttime) and minimum(7pm, endtime) will return the 2 times you need to subtract. Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports, Goldmine and MS Office

if your start date is earlier than 9:00am, you could set it to 9:00am. If your end date is later than 7:00pm, set it to 7:00pm, and then calculate the time difference.

I'm a bit confused by the use of the maximum and minimum functions. I've tried them, but I get a result back saying it can't create a running total. Gerhard Scheepers
