Hi everybody,
I have a problem with the time on my primary controller, each week the time goes 1 hour after the normal and i have to change it manual.
Do you know how to change the time zone?
How can i maintain the same time forever?
i don´t have daylight schedule in my zone.

Thanks in advance.

What system platform and what software release are you running?

Do you have Ops Manager? If so is Ops Mgr performing a daily time-synch and if so where is the Ops Mgr server getting its time?

Do you have any attendant consoles?

The SX200, SX2000, 3300 and 200 ICP controllers will not arbitrarily jump time zones all on their own. If the time is changing, something or someone is changing it, period. Don't rule out the possibility of someone doing this deliberately to screw with you. Time change events are recorded in the system logs. Turn on traffic reporting and set it to report 24/7. Thereafter any time change event will cause an error log to be recorded in the Maintenance logs. Then search for it, "LOGS RE MA ALL MATCH TIME" - that will tell you exactly "when" it happened.

I have a 3300 platform, with OPS Mgr and a attendant console 5550. In the OPS Mgr, where can i see the sync configuration? Is it possible to do the sync with a NTP Server?

Thanks.

Open OPS MGR
Click on Configuration
Click on Network Elements
Click on Time Synchronization
Select the Elements you wish to apply time synch to
Click on Schedule
Click on New
Choose a time of day for the event to occur, i.e., Daily at 04:15
Click on Commit

To my knowledge you cannot use NTP, altho I see no reason why your OPS MGR server itself couldn't be synched to an NTP source. I would use 04:15 AM to totally avoid any other scheduled events and also to steer clear of the 2 AM hour because that's when the change to DST occurs. OPS MGR can time-synch your entire voice network (all SX2K and 3300-class machines)

It sounds as though the OPSman sync is working but you need to change some time zone properties in the Element editor. There are 2 selections there for the site that determine the time zone and also whether you have daylight savings time. It is under Configuration, Network Elements, Editor, and then change to the correct site and edit it there.

Thanks for the help, i resolved the problem with your advise.
