I am getting more and more issues with time going several minutes fast in many if our customers with the new Avaya media servers. Anyone else experiencing this. Every week, I have to change one of these servers by 3-4 mins.

Not seen that as we used the network time protocol setting to synch with the corporate lan. Could you steer customers down that route?

For S8700 Media Servers, you have to change the time on both of them.
1.change time on the active one.
2.interchange servers.
3.change time on the new active.
Of course using NTP is THE solution.

I have the same issue here also. Any docs on how to set up NTP on the S8700? Thanks!

Web into the S8700
Goto configure server
Configure indivual ip services
Configure network time server
Select Use these Network Time Servers:
in the box type in the IP address or host name of the time server you wish to use.
Select Do not install a new keys file
Press Change.

You are done. This does not interupt and processing on the server.

Hope this helps
