I took and passed the CCNA Intro exam in March of 2006. It is now April of 2007 and I still have not taken the ICND exam. I will hopefully be ready sometime in May or June. Is there a time limit to how long my Intro exam is good? Have I waited too long to take the ICND exam? Thanks.

iolair,

You should be ok, but I also would not wait much longer since lots of what you had to know for the 1st exam might be drawn upon for the 2nd part!!!!

When you passed the first exam didn't you get a Cisco website to register at to track your exams - you might not get it till you are completly certified - then you register your email and they send you satus updates of your certifications and exams - like CCNP etc.

The best place for that information is Cisco - Retired Certification Exams - check for the exam number you passed and it should have infomation if it is being retired anytime soon!

Hope this helps!!

Thanks. Yes, I did get a login from Cisco to track my exams. I'm almost ready for the ICND exam, but I do want to spend a few more weeks working with routers, configuring ISDN, access lists, and VLANs on switches.

Really concentrate on the switch stuff---VLANs, VTP client/server, etc.
