On a MICS 4.0 I changed the time to correct for daylight savings and it stayed frozen at 11:10. At 4:00 I logged in and changed it again and then it stayed stuck on 4:00. Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Eric

Possibly a new software could fix, but it's probably a bad clock chip on the motherboard. You'll probably need to replace the cabinet. If that's the case, get a backup of your programming so you can restore to a new cabinet.

Before you start tearing stuff off the wall, you might want to try a power cycle.

If you'd had 7.1, I'd suspect you had set the system to take time from clid, but with 4.0, I have to agree with Brian.

Thanks for the Input.

When I got to the site to troubleshoot I found out its really a 1.1MICS so I can't do a back up. I think my only option is to do all the data collection, Reboot, and if its still stuck I will have to upgrade and reprogram from scratch.

Is there any other way I can preserve the customer DATA?

Thanks,

Eric

I have had this happen multiple times on Mics 1.0 and 1.1 systems a simple power cycle fixed the issue.

The backup restore capabilities of the NRU are not supported until MICS 2.0. So I did manual data collection then performed a reboot. Luckily the reboot got the clock running again and no customer data was lost.

Thank you for all the input,

Eric

Ohh I have Norstar ICS Remote Tools 11.0. When I hooked it up to the 1.1 sys it said it wasnt supported. So Norstar Manager is just an older version?

Thanks,

Eric
