I followed the Time Intelligence Wizard in Adventureworks sample database to
implement YTD,QTD and MTD for the Amount Measure in the Fiscal Hierarchy.
When I use the BIDS browser to look at the data, I put Amount in the columns,
Date.Fiscal hierarchy in the rows and then I filter on
Date.FiscalDateCalculations. I get the following error if I choose any member
other than Default Member:
Unable to apply filter. A set has been encounterd that cannot contain
calculated members.
Any thoughts you can share will be appreciated.
Here is a little bit more information.
If I write an MDX query and run it using SQL Server mangaement studio, the query comes back fine.
The problem seems to be in the browser tool inside BIDS. If I use the lower filter part, again it works
fine. I believe the top part filter uses OWC. I get the exact same message when I use Excel to connect
to the cube.
Thanks,
Shab
