is it possible to reject emails globaly during a specific time range on a daily bases?

Why would you want to do this? SMTP retried for 48 hours by default anyway.

ok, i think i havn't explained it very well :)

we have set up antispam and for some manually control we put all spam emails in a seperate postbox. i thought, we never get emails from our clients between 00:00 and 06:00 and we get a lot of spam during this time period.

so the word "reject" was not quit well used here i think but i want to put all emails in the spam box during the specific time period.

thanks

ok, so if you were to close the letterbox from midnight to 6am, at 6am you'll get all of that SMTP mail arriving which will cause flooding and bottlenecks that might impact your users.

Best to play with the anti spam to bin the 8s and 9s and push all other potential spam to that mailbox.
