time and date not changing

I have a customer with an 8x24 or a MICS. Not sure as I have not be out there in a while. Their time and date are not changing. It just displays the same time and date all the time. She can log in and change it, and it will change, but not keep the time.

Anyone ever had this before? My customer says this has occured before and their previous vendor did a "reset". I told her to power down the system, but she stated that usually doesn't work. I was not aware of a "soft reset" for the Nortel.
 
Don't reboot it!!!
You could end up rebuilding the whole thing from memory.
Better to go out and get all the info on paper PDQ!
 
if it is a MICS you can reboot,
by logging into config under maintenance>diagnostics>
there is a restart KSU ...

is it a MICS? is the NVRAM release 1? then replace that ...
