tiffcp binary

I am trying to install Hylafax on Openserver 5.0.5. I have edited the faxsetup script , setting the correct paths etc.. I am having one problem though, when I try to run the faxsetup script I get a fatal error stating that I do not have the tiffcp program. Okay no problem, I figured this would be pretty easy to find. I have been looking all day for this program and cannot find it, does anyone have a binary or source to the tiffcp program that you could e-mail me or point me to? Thanks fo your time.

I downloaded the skunkware binaries, I read your write up about it first, installed mawk, bash, gnu file utilities and ghostscript, I did not find a setup.cache file so I just edited the faxsetup script. Did you compile from source?

It appears that I need to install the entire libtiff library tiffcp is one of the tools included in the library. I downloaded the source tarball, I am now trying to install it on Openserver 5.0.5 with gcc version 2.95.2.
./configure creates the make file with no problems, when I try to run make (
make or gmake ) I get the following fatal error.

/usr/local/bin/gcc -o fax2tiff -Dsco -g -O -I. -I../tools -I../libtiff fax2tiff.
o ../libtiff/libtiff.a -lm
../libtiff/libtiff.a: libelf error: elf_getarsym:
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [fax2tiff] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tiff-v3.4/tools'
make: *** [all] Error 2
