We have a directory with around 3500+ images in it that I'm working with for another project, these are supposed to be all CYMK.

I'm finding out that for whatever reason quite a few of the images are coming out as RGB. Does anyone know of a tool/utility that would go through this directory of images and report if they are RGB or CYMK ?

Thanks

With that many pics, you're probably best off creating an action to change everyting to cmyk.

It should be pretty easy. Open a pic, open the Action window and start recording a new action. Change mode to cmyk. Stop recording.

Then select the folder with the pics, make a destination folder and run the script.

That's one option. The reason I was looking for something that could give me a list of what was cmyk or rgb was so we could just move all the rgb's to a folder and process them by themselves. Out of that 3500+ I'd estimate that only maybe 100-200 are saved the wrong way. Seemed kind of silly to redo all of them just to correct that few.

I appreciate the idea though. Back to the drawing board :)
