When I print my document some of the tif files print out fuzzy. They were created, by a friend, in Photoshop at 300 dpi. Any ideas on what is going wrong?
Hello,
A varity of things could be going on.
One did you resize the tif once you put it in Indesign?
Did you link it and now the link is broken?
Did you place it or paste it into the doc?
Check the pref setting. This is one place you can change the view info. Then check the printer settings.
Right click on the tif (win) and you can choose different setting for the tif.
If none of these help tell me a little more about the tifs placement etc.
Good Luck
The problem could be that when you are printing under the tiff options, it needs to be "optimized".
Hope that helps.
If that's not the problem it's likely with the original file, or perhaps the original file came unlinked.
"In PageMaker's print dialogue, click on the Options button and set the "Send Tif/Images" option to Normal and NOT to Optimized. The deceptively-named optimized option actually downsamples your image for faster draft printing and can significantly reduce the printed quality of your placed image."
