I have built this PRI tie from an OPT81C(25.40b) to a BCM 4.0. When I enable the PRI and DCH I am getting a Red Alarm on the PBX side. Any suggestions for this config or even a different config would be great. We are going to CDP the numbers from the 81 to the BCM.

Thanks,

Dwayne

Do you have mcdn networking on the bcm ?
Your pni probably needs to be 0001 in 81c.
Your bcm will need to be set as slave with sl1, you get this with the mcdn networking feature (key coded)

The bcm of course will need to be a pri trunk type.
Once these are all configured disable the bcm module and re enable.
After this make your sigo in the pbx std.

Disl your dchannel and your loop. Make sure your msdl is enabled and your dchannel auto enable and then reenable your loop.
Cross your fingers.

Red alarm is layer 1.
Go to the BCM, remove the cable and put a loopback plug on the end of it. See if the the T1 comes up green on the pbx. Should come up green and then the DCH drop with a message "Release Wrong Mode". If this is what you get then the problem is on the BCM side. If not check all your cabling.

Acutally it was something even more simple than any of us thought.... I forgot to do a cross over since I was going directly from the backplane to the BCM... How the simple things get by...

Thanks to all for the suggestions and help.

Dwayne
