Hello all
I have a client that has 2 BCM50 in the same office for 2 companies, sometimes they needed to call each other or transfer calls across, I tied both using the 4 analog trunks and analog ports. all has been working ok but they now want to be able to receive caller id info form one to the other.
I know that I can use IP trunks for these my question is do I need to also have the MCDN keycodes, all they want is to receive caller id and nothing else.

"Friends,Romans,Countrymen lend me your ears I come to ask for help and to give it, lets not argue on who is best or worst lets just help each other

I have a BCM 50 as my test system on release two with two analogue trunks and caller line ID works fine. The problem I think you might have is when you do blind transfers over to the other site. I don't think the original caller line ID will be shown, but you might only see the ID from the other BCM 50 site?.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

If station to station calling yes for IP trunks and MCDN to pass the extension and location CLID. Plus you need to build target lines on both sides, and routing.
