Hello I need a little assistance,
I need to Tie 2 bcm50 in the same building, I have done this before using the 4 analog trunks and the 4 analog stations. but I need to be able to send caller id info between the 2.

does anyone have a better solution that I can use.
any ideas are much appreciated.

Only way I know to get caller id is to either use IP or PRI to tie them together.

I definitely agree with the hawks' reply, the only way I would consider doing this is IP with VoIP gateway and MCDN licenses or with PRI and a cross-over cable.

Curiosity...wonder what would happen if you used analog tie lines and set the OLI of each station...I wonder if they would pass the OLI info? (I've never tried it without using IP trunking)

We have a large number of the Norstar Tie Trunk Modules (fibre MBM) with BCM 450 R6. Although the incoming 4 digits dialed are received and routed to the correct target line there is no OLI received.
