Tidy up my database...lots of leftover debris

Is there a simple straight-forward way to clean up all the debris in my database...it's pretty complicated, and as I was designing it, I created and abandoned lots of macros and event procedures, a few tables, several queries, a few weird fields, lots of stuff where I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I tried it. There's a fair amount of junk that I didn't delete as I went along because there was something salvagable I referred back to. I'd like to delete anything that doesn't directly effect my "Mainform", within which are a half-dozen subforms, and any thing that doesn't directly affect the ten or so final reports I want to keep. Is there a button I can click, get a cup of coffee and come back to a nice tidy database?

What version of Access are you using???

I am not sure what version it was included in, but Access 2003 when you right click on object (table, query, etc), there is an "object dependencies" option. This lists all objects that are dependant on the object and also which objects this items depends on.

That, in conjunction with the Tools -> Analyze -> Documenter should give you a pretty godd picture....outside of third party software that will read through all the code and stuff like speedferret or something.

I was hoping to only find everything relative to the Main Form and have the rest deleted automatically. I will probably have to clean up my own mess the hard way.

I have Access 2002. The latest version of Access looks too freaky for me (what is that "ribbon" interface?). I'm resisting an upgrade 'til the last minute.

many have tried ... few have claimed success ... AFAIK no one has actually achieved it.

there are tools to help and suggestions galore (just search with a plethora of realted key words ... mayhap start w/ mozilla (?sp?) and use lots of other terms seperatly and in various combination)

i'm afraid that after all is said and done, ye olde blood, sweat and tears will be the most effective.
