ticlets - How ?

Hi,
I have an application today that is written as a java applet. It in turn calls other java applets when the user clicks on a buttons in the main applet.
I would like to start a tcl/tk program from one of the button in the main applet. I have heard some talk of ticlets.
How do they work, how do I implement an existing tcl/tk program as a ticlet and call it from the main applet.
Is there any documentation about ticlets, plugins needed etc?
