What is the standard approach to thumbnail image creation from uploaded source images - when ASPImage is not installed.

Is there any other way, or do I need to write an Applet?

I'm having the same question. What i did is created another folder and resized the images. I would like to see the applet. Good luck

Resizing the images does nothing to reduce file size though - which I really need.

If you don't need this then you can just set the display size on the client machine.

This is a bit of a bummer really - I will investigate the possibilites with Java instead.
