I have created several thuumbnails which work perfectly in as much as they enlarge the picture when clicked on but will not return to the original page when I have finished with them. The only way I can get rid of them is to close down the page.

This is when working and testing in FP2000, of course, but I presume that the same will happen on the web site when it is published.

Can someone please suggest what is wrong.

Many thanks

Eric

Actually, they're doing what they're supposed to do. The thumbnail has a hyperlink directly to the image file so that when you click on them, it opens only the image in the browser. You'd need to use the back button to return to the original page (most users will understand they need to do that) or put the image on an HTML page complete with all the appropriate navigation, Web site branding, and keyword information for the search engines and change the thumbnail link.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I understand that it is doing what it should but the problem is that there is no back button visible. However, perhaps I am overlooking the fact that it will be different when the web appears 'live' on IE because a back button will then be available. Please forgive that this my first FP web!

You should set your page properties to open hyperlinks in a new window.
