Thumbnail view is in Word 2003 If you click teh "View" menu then thumbnails. Is this only in 2003 or is it also in Word 2002(XP)?

Not a particularly well worded question.

In 2002 there is a Thumbnail view available in the FileOpen dialog, under Views. But....you don't mention any dialog, so I guess that is not what you are talking about.

There is no "Thumbnail" under View from the menu bar. But then, I don't know what would BE thumbnailed from the main View menu.

No - it was new in 2003.

Gerry - in Word 2003, there is a thumbnail view of documents available as a pane on the left of the workspace - much like the slide view in Powerpoint.

Enjoy,
Tony

OK, I have never seen 2003, so that answers the question. No, it is not in 2002.

Sigh, I'm sorry, but this seems a dumbing down kind of feature.

A process that continues to this day.

Windows Vista and Office 2007 are officially released today.

Enjoy,
Tony
