Thumbnail logo in URL box

Can anyone tell me how to add a thumbnail picture in Front Page. What I mean is on some sites when the index page loads you will see there logo in front of the URL? Any suggestions on how to do this?

For example on tek-tips you see TI in blue, at least on netscape you do/
