Could someone point me to a site or give me the basics on getting a thumb drive to be bootable with 98? It works with 98se and above but thats it. I'd like to make it like a boot disk (fat32) with some util on it.

I have a dual boot PC with 98/xp but the 98 is not se so it won't work there and xp doesn't seem to want to "format f: /s". I couldn't find anything on bootdisk.com for this.

Thanks,

Hi,

Firstly, your PC's bios must support booting from a USB disk. You need to check the setup for this, and set a USB port to be in the boot sequence ahead of the hard drive.

includes a few bits for a Dell memory key, including a 98 driver, but it isn't clear whether this is for 98SE only.
