We have a few ads (one made in house, one sent in) that are problems. When I send this ad to the laser printer, from either quark or native program (illustrator particularly) to a laser printer, it works perfectly. when I send it to the RIP from illustrator, it works fine. When sent from Quark 6 it throws some curvy bubble font in the place of another font. and the text is outlined anyway. No font should be being used. Thanks for listening. Any help would be great. Thanks,

The first thing I would try is to make sure there are no fonts in the Illustrator file. Sometimes a few pieces of text manage to get through for various reasons.

Open the Illustrator file, select Type > Find Font...

If the top box (Fonts in Document) is not empty, then there are still a few fonts in your file that aren't outlined.
