I have a MICS connected to an Asterisk voip via a T1 card. The asterisk extensions are 5xxx and the norstar extns are 3xxx. I am able to call from norstar to asterisk and visa versa, but the problem is when the auto attn in call pilot answers with "if you know your party's extn, you may dial at any time". You dial one of the 5xxx numbers and it says it is an invalid extn. In the norstar I have built a route with dest code 5 any to go to the asterisk. I can't figure what I need to do to get the cp to call across the T1.
Any ideas?

Have you tried placing one of the 5XXX numbers in CP as a mailbox

You need to make sure two things:

1) Routes from Norstar to Asterisk are PRIVATE
2) Turn on Network Routing in the Call Pilot configuration

Call Pilot cannot dial across Public routes.

I have built a mailbox. I will make sure that my route is set to private. How do turn on network routing in configuration? I don't have to re-install call pilot do I?

Thank you both for your reply.
