Three-Way Calling - Won't

Something has happened to kill our ability to do three party calling (NEC 2400 IPX), up until yesterday we had no problem. I don't remember doing any funky programming or anything (other then trying to find a free slot for a 16ELCJ-B card and having no luck) with the switch.

ASYD SYS=2 Index= 1 Data=03

SYS=2,3,4,5 and 6 are 03,01,00,00 and 11

My manual does not show 03 for SYS2/Index1 only 00,01,10 and 11

Likewise it's incoherent (to me) on SYS2/Index6 but what I read would make me think it should be 00 not 11

Am I barking up the wrong tree? Is the programming right? Should I be looking here or somewhere else?

Thanks.

If you are using the internal conferencing feature, 3 party, then it is just a program assignment. Usually in the last physical slot where the CS-33 console card would be. Perform a len list, LLEN and look for a 909 assignment. There should be nothing in the slot except a CS-33 if you have one.

We do have a CS-33 card, however it is in the Second to the last slot on the lower half of the first PIM. aka- Slot #22; aka- 00|1|16-19|xs However when I look at the Len List Up I find this

LENS RT TK
001210 = 909 1
001211
001212
001213 909 2
001214
111215
.....
001235 909 8
001236
001237

Which, I think, puts in in a different slot then the card. Slot #23 aka 00|1|20-23|xs
Which leads me to think that we have not been using it.

Is there any other method of doing the 3-way calling that I could be overlooking?

Unless told otherwise I will assume that someone messed with my switch (why I don't know) and that I can move the CS-33 over one slot and all should be well.

Before you move the CS-33, the ATRK command and the CS-33 in the circuit card manuals. ATRK should show you exactly how to assign /cnf and ATTCONs. Deleting the CS-33 is done with a specific order. Related console caommands need to be deleted first. IE: ASAT, ACSI, AMAT, etc. Deleting then reassigning a console can place the system in night mode until the console is up and you can turn night mode off. Also, when you add in a console, since it is considered a trunk, you must un-busy it in MBTK.

Your conference trunks are in the right place and moving the CS-33 will not make them work, however the console will not work as I am sure you are aware. Try MBRT for 909 and set them to idle MBTK and do each trunk in route 909.

You could try the DCON command. Input as a trunk using RT 909 and see if the CNF trunks are locked up to another trunk or station. RLST can release the station and CNF trunk. RLTK can release the trunk.

MBRT showed the trunks as idle.

All other attempts failed, in the end what worked was to delete all trunks in route 909 then recreate them then use MBRT to make them idle.

As soon as I did that Three-way calling worked.

Don't ask me why, but that worked. Blast the trunk/routes. Run LLEN to make sure they were gone. Recreate them and everything was back up and running.

It's a bit late to recall this, but if you have redundant time division, there is a switch setting on the card for internal CNF. If it is off on the redundant side and it switches over, CNF will stop working.
SW-10/PC36 cards. I think it's position 4 on the 4 position switch on the outer edge.
