Three beeps! no display?

can someone please help me when i start up my pc i get three beeps and no vga!

please help!!
 
remove the side off the PC, remove video card, clean brass terminals carefully with a pencil erazor then refit.
you might also want to do the same with the memory modules.

AMI BIOS:

1x Long, 2x Short - GFX card error, either as mentioned by Paparazi, or it is damaged...

3x Long - Heatsink Fan of the CPU damaged, not plugged in correctly, or just plain aint working... replace...


AWARD BIOS:

1x Long, 2x Short - see above, same as AMI BIOS...

3x Long - Keyboard error... replace Keyboard...


Phoenix BIOS: (starting with v6 Phoenix and Award are merged and beep codes are same as AWARD)

1 Beep followed by 2 beeps - Checksum error in the BIOS...



Also check the seating of RAM, GFX card, and CPU (incl. the HS FAN)...
