As VB is essentially a single-threaded language there isn't really a good tutorial.
That being said, VB can be made to use multiple threads but great care is needed. The development process will be extremely frustrating as the IDE will crash at the slightest excuse, even for typo errors.
The basic outline of how to do this has been covered in this forume (search for CreateThread) before now.
Depending on what you are doing, there may be other methods more applicable (maybe even a different langauage)
