Thousand separator

I have a field called 'FiscalYear' the field type is number. I created a parameter based on this field but when the parameter is displayed the year shows as 2,008 rather than 2008. I have changed the Report options number formatting to display without the thousands separator, however the parameter still displays incorrectly. The 'Fiscal' columns does however display properly on the report canvas. Is there anyway to force it to display without the comma in the parameter?

Hi,
make the parameter a String type instead of a Number and
convert it when using it like

Fiscal = ToNumber(?StringParamforFiscal)
